I have always been told growing up, that I would make a great teacher, so low and behold my delight when I received a job offer earlier this year to teach drama at my old college (Lambeth College, Clapham). After the initial excitement, fear set in. My class, Drama Enrichment was to be a weekly 2-hour class for any students wanting an introduction to drama or extra improvement. Lesson plans, drama exercises and workshop games were the main hurdles, as I had never taught teenagers or put together an actual class before, only short workshops. The classes ranged from, improvisation, tongue twisters to HipHop beats, Shakespeare and Script work. Many of the students had never acted before so this was a real introduction for them and they loved it!
